Council on Health and Well-being

Charge:

The Council on Health and Well-being is charged with reviewing programs and education, assessment, policy, and reporting requirements for Student Health and Well-being programming.  Focusing on health and well-being initiatives, the Council on Health and Well-being will provide feedback on past and future programs to build a student-driven, prevention conscious culture at Michigan Tech.

Goals for the Council on Health and Well-being for 2021-2022:

Goal #1: Identify drinking trends and language used by the campus community during and after the COVID-19 pandemic through data collection and data review.

Goal #2: Promote mental health screenings and assessments that are timely and can be accessed by the student community during and after the COVID-19 pandemic.

Goal #3: Identify and update communication for the campus community that can be used to prevent, educate and respond to alcohol and other drug instances.

Goal #4: Work with members of the campus community to educate on the Community Conduct Process and provide more clarity to the campus community.
