As a Michigan College and University Partnership (MiCUP) Scholar, you'll conduct hands-on research at Michigan Tech alongside expert mentors. This seven-week summer program builds your research skills, academic confidence, and professional connections.

If you're pursuing a STEM field and are the first in your family to attend college or come from a low-income background, MiCUP creates a direct path to completing your bachelor's degree. Only 14 positions are available each year, and your acceptance gives you a significant advantage as you prepare to transfer.

When you join MiCUP, you become part of a program with over 20 years of proven results. Established in 2000 as the "Unlock Your Future Program," MiCUP has helped students like you complete bachelor's degrees and launch rewarding careers in high-demand fields.

Through multiple grant renewals (2006, 2011, 2017, and 2023), the program continues to demonstrate its effectiveness in creating academic opportunities through personalized mentorship and support.
