Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEV)
The HEV program focuses on powertrains. Coursework provides advanced knowledge and hands-on labs in HEV design, analysis, control, calibration, and operating characteristics. Program pathways are available for non-degree coursework, a graduate certificate, master of science degrees in mechanical or electrical engineering, and an undergraduate certificate.
Engineering Online
Students and engineers have access to many online courses at Michigan Tech. Graduate degree programs and graduate certificate programs are available in the College of Engineering.
Advanced Electric Power Engineering
The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering offers the Graduate Certificate in Advanced Electric Power Engineering and an MS in Electrical Engineering Power Systems. The program is designed in consultation with electric utilities to address the retraining needs of engineering staff.
Mechanical Engineering
The Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering offers online learning options for the MS in Mechanical Engineering and PhD in Mechanical Engineering-Engineering Mechanics degrees. The department also operates the HEV program.
