Tuition, Fees, Room & Board

8.1 Tuition Rates, Residence Hall Room and Board and Apartment Rates, and Related Fees

The Board of Trustees shall set tuition rates, to be charged according to the number of credits for which the student is registered, residence hall and apartment room and board rates and other fees unless such power is otherwise expressly granted by the Board. The Board Secretary will at all times maintain a current schedule of all then applicable tuition, rates and fees. All tuition rates, residence hall and apartment room and board rates, fees or any other charges currently in effect pursuant to any Board of Trustees Policy shall, notwithstanding this Policy, remain in force and effect until changed by Board of Trustees action.

Refunds of tuition, fees and room and board charges shall be made pursuant to Procedures established by the President or his designated representative.

8.2 Special Fees and Pricing

  1. The President or the President's designate is authorized to establish special fees for certain course offerings requiring unusual amounts of supplies and/or special equipment and to establish fees and prices for the following:
    1. Educational programs, courses, conferences and the like not otherwise covered by the regular schedule of tuition for instruction and public service, upon presentation of an acceptable budget.
    2. Housing and food service for those situations not otherwise covered by the regular full-term housing rate schedules approved by the Board of Trustees.
    3. Services, such as, by way of illustration not limitation, providing transcripts, changing housing assignments, offering memberships in various facilities, athletic events, concerts, lectures, photo-copying.
    4. Sales of materials, services, and supplies, such as by way of example and not limitation, books, educational supplies, sports equipment, stumpage, wood, sundries, etc.

8.3 Waiver of Certain Fees

The Vice President for University, Relations and Enrollment, in special circumstances, is authorized to waive student fees related to admission, registration, continuing enrollment deposit, and the enrollment process. Such waivers shall be reported to the Board annually.

8.4 Payment of Fees

No student shall be permitted to attend classes unless all amounts due the University have been paid, or suitable arrangements for later payment have been made.

8.5 Late Fee Assessments

  1. Late Enrollment Processing Fee

    Students who have not paid their account in full, have not made appropriate arrangements for deferred payment with the Accounts Receivable Office, or have not processed their billing statement by the Billing Statement Due Date will be assessed a $50.00 late fee.

  1. Late Enrollment/Registration Fee

    Continuing students who are not registered by the Billing Statement Due Date and subsequently register or students who have not processed their billing statement, have had their course schedule withdrawn and subsequently register will be assessed a $100.00 late enrollment/registration fee. The late enrollment/registration fee is not applicable Summer Term.

  1. Late Payment Fee-non rental delinquencies

    A $25.00 per month late payment fee will be assessed monthly throughout the semester during which the account balance was created on all accounts with balances, (excluding apartment rent charges which are covered only by Part D below) over $100.00 after the second billing due date. Students enrolled in the three payment plan will be assessed the monthly late payment fees commencing upon each failure to pay according to the contract schedule rather than on the second billing due date. In no event will total monthly late payment fees in excess of $100 be assessed for any late payment.

  1. Late Rent Payment Fee -Daniell Heights Apartments

    Late payment of Daniell Heights Apartment rent will be assessed a $50.00 late rent payment fee on the 11th day of each month when rent is not paid in full by the 10th day of the month.
