'61Graduating with honors from Michigan Tech in 1961 with a bachelor's degree in business administration, Makens has been involved in the securities industry for over 35 years as an attorney, regulator and advisor. '01Alex Kowalski is CEO and owner of Performance Welding. Performance is an OEM contract manufacturer of metal assemblies based in Little Chute, WI. He acquired the distressed company in September of 2012 and brought in professional management for the turnaround.
