Within the fields of environmental engineering and sciences, there exists a need both for licensed professional engineers and scientists—those who can bring key principle attributes of their discipline to find solutions and ways to prevent environmental problems. Tailor your environmental engineering science program to your interests in surface-water quality and water resources, environmental-systems modeling, pollution prevention, solid and hazardous wastes or atmospheric systems and air-pollution control. Are you ready?
Our Accelerated Master's Program is available for current Michigan Tech students.
Program Overview
The master's in environmental engineering science program offers focused study in the application of environmental science to environmental engineering practice. This program is designed as a pathway to a career in environmental science. Faculty and students regularly work on interdisciplinary research projects that interface with Sustainability; the Earth, Planetary and Space Sciences Institute; the Center for Water and Society; and faculty in the areas of biological sciences, chemistry, forestry, geological engineering and sciences, chemical and mechanical engineering, and environmental policy.
