Policy Statement

It is the policy of Michigan Technological University and the Michigan Tech Fund ("Fund") that all donor information of Michigan Tech and of the Michigan Tech Fund, whether accessible to or known by Fund staff or by Michigan Tech staff, is confidential and will not be disclosed to third parties, including University or Fund staff not having a need and right to know. Michigan Tech Fund and Michigan Tech staff will, to the best of their ability, ensure confidentially and privacy in regard to history, records, and discussions about the donors we serve.

Purpose

To establish confidentiality guidelines for Michigan Tech and Michigan Tech Fund staff working with important and confidential donor information.

Scope

This policy applies to all employees of Michigan Tech and of the Michigan Tech Fund who, as a component of their job responsibilities, interact with donors or have access to information of donors to either Michigan Tech or to the Fund.

Responsible for maintaining and enforcing this policy.

Michigan Tech and Michigan Tech Fund Employees -

Those employees working with donors to Michigan Tech and Michigan Tech Fund or having access to such donor information, to the best of their ability, ensure confidentiality and privacy with regard to donors' information.
