Why do I need to complete RCR training?

Federal granting agencies require Universities that receive funding to provide RCR training to students, faculty and staff who are involved with research at the university. RCR training empowers students and researchers with the ability to make responsible and ethical choices when faced with difficult decisions.

Do I need to take advanced RCR training?

Graduate students working toward a Ph.D. dissertation or a master’s thesis/report are required to complete advanced RCR training.

I am not on campus – how do I complete RCR training?

If you are working on an online degree (PhD dissertation or MS thesis/report) you can complete both basic and advanced RCR remotely.

For basic RCR training complete the graduate school’s canvas course Orientation to Graduate Studies and Research.
For advanced RCR training register for and complete the online citiprogram course Advance RCR Training.
