Student Organization members may request letters to verify their participation in co-curricular activities in the event that they need to miss class to do so. This letter is meant to confirm a student’s participation in an extracurricular activity, however it is not an excuse and it is the responsibility of the student to inform the instructor(s) and gain permission to make up any assignments, course work, and quizzes missed during this time. Students must request a verified absence letter a minimum of 2 business days prior to the dates of the extracurricular activity. Verified absence letters will not be provided for any past extracurricular activities.
To request a verified absence letter, students will need to fill out the RSO Travel Google Form. One letter will be issued with all participants included. You will need to complete the following forms within the google form:
- Husky Motors Vehicle Request Form (only if you are requesting a vehicle from Husky Motors)
- Travel Policy Form
- Travel Itinerary Form.
If you are requesting a verified absence letter and traveling under 50 miles, you are required to fill out the RSO Travel Google Form.
No verified absence letters will be given out for any proposed organizational trips or events that conflict with scheduled coursework or exams during finals week. (This supports the University Senate Policy 602.1.)
For information on University excused absences, see the Attendance Policy.
