Why study statistics? Big data is revolutionizing our society. A degree in statistics will prepare you to work in nearly any industry or to pursue a graduate degree in statistics or an allied area, such as biostatistics, epidemiology, or analytics.

Join a department that feels like a family (according to our students). Learn statistical theory, applied statistics, and statistical computing. Choose an application area—a discipline in which statistical techniques are commonly applied—and complete a core of courses in that area. Conduct undergraduate research with faculty mentors. Be a coach in the Math Learning Center to provide tutoring for your peers.
