Information for School Counselors

You probably know Michigan Tech is a great choice for students looking at engineering programs. While we do offer more than 13 undergraduate engineering majors, there are more than 70 bachelor’s degree programs to choose from. All majors incorporate technology and allow students to gain expertise in areas focused on what tomorrow needs—new solutions, agile thinkers, and champions of the unknown.

What's New for 2024-2025

Updated Policies

For students applying for 2025 terms

  • No test scores are needed for students with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher (4.0 scale)
  • Test scores may be required for homeschool students and those with a cumulative GPA below 3.0 (4.0 scale)
  • No test scores are needed for students to apply for competitive scholarships
  • Official test scores are recommended for all students who wish to be considered for merit-based scholarships to ensure the maximum award amount they qualify for
