Funding Opportunities
One of the principle aims of creating a Ecological Restoration Hub to support restoration research is to help ERH associated researchers obtain external research support, particularly, for large, interdisciplinary projects. ERH provides this support by helping to identify relevant funding opportunities and develop competitive proposals. Michigan Tech subscribes to Grant Forward, a comprehensive grant-search database. Full access is available from the campus network and available via the Internet from any computer using a simple login created using your Michigan Tech email address. Additional information for funding searches can be found at the Research Development office's Identification of Funding Resources website.
Grant sources to which ERH researchers commonly apply:
- NOAA Great Lakes Fish Habitat Restoration Regional Partnership Grants | NOAA Fisheries
- Five Star and Urban Waters Restoration Grant Program | NFWF
- Environmental Sustainability | Beta site for NSF - National Science Foundation
- Endangered Species | Grants (fws.gov)
- Funding | Great Lakes Restoration Initiative (glri.us)
- DNR - Wildlife Habitat Grant Program (michigan.gov)
- Landscape Scale Restoration (LSR) | US Forest Service
