Michigan Tech owns and operates the Portage Lake Golf Course (PLGC). The golf course is an 18 hole, par 72 course. The course has been under the University since 1945. Season passes, punch cards for 9 or 18 holes, and daily 9 or 18 hole greens fees are all available. A practice range is on property as well as two practice greens. PLGC is open to the general public. PLGC is managed by a PGA Professional and offers instruction to all ages and skill levels. PLGC also offers leagues, tournaments and more. Michigan Tech employees may use their TechFit benefit to discount their season pass price or punch purchase cards. Payroll deduction is available for Michigan Tech employees only. The clubhouse offers a Food and Beverage service known as the Par and Grill, club storage, and a shower area.
