Campus Safety and Police Services

The Department of Public Safety and Police Services (DPSPS) responds to all emergency situations in the residence halls. You can reach Campus Safety by calling (906) 487-2216. You may use the blue emergency phones located by sidewalks around campus to reach DPSPS. For non-life-threatening emergencies inside the residence halls, you can contact our DUTY Phone at (906) 487-3889.

Michigan Tech Tip Line

The Michigan Tech Tip Line allows for anonymous reporting of any concerning or unsafe behavior. To report anonymously, call 906-487-TIPS or go to www.mtu.edu/tips

Safety First Alert

Students are encouraged to sign up for Safety First Alert when they arrive on campus. Safety First Alert is a communication system that can send text and voice messages, post to social media and send emails in the event of an emergency.
